Board Names Heath New Director Of Lawrence County Schools

  Members of the Lawrence County School Board have named Dr. Bill Heath as the new Director of Lawrence County Schools.

  A native of Fayetteville, Heath has most currently served as Principal and Superintendent of St. Johns School in Gulfport, Mississippi.

  Under the agreement voted upon by board members, Heath will be hired under a two year contract, with one year extension, at the state minimum annual salary of $86,000.

  Heath will assume his duties locally beginning June 11.
